Prayer Shawl Ministry Leader: Carol Nelson and Katharyn Zeber Relatively new to the life and work of St. Mark's, the Prayer Shawl Ministry was created by unpaid servants Carol Nelson and Karhryn Zeber. Every shawl is knitted/crocheted/quilted/tied and prayed over, and then gifted to those in our community (both at St. Mark's and the larger community) as a blessing and prayer for healing during significant times in the lives of others. Examples include illness, the passing of a loved one, graduations, the rite of Confirmation, and the reception of new members/disciples.
At present, this ministry incorporates the talented hands of over 15 of St. Mark's saints, and has rallied the support of many other people who have given materials or money to keep the blessings flowing. In the three month life of this ministry (as of the 1st of July, 2007), over 50 prayer shawls have been given as a blessing to others.
If you would like to join this vibrant ministry, contact Carol Nelson at her e-mail above, or at her home: (402) 373-4591.
